《远古入侵》是英式科幻电视剧集的代表作，由英国ITV一台出品，后期制作为Impossible Pictures，该公司以制作《BBC与古生物共舞》的特效享有盛名。Nick Cutter教授在学生Connor Temple的提醒下深入调查迪恩森林的古生物入侵现象，却偶然发现异常点（Anomaly）的存在，随即在助手Stephen Hart和动物园管理员Abby Maitland的协助下开展研究，而Claudia Brown代表政府也开始关注此事，调查过程中卡特教授在远古发现了自己失踪多年的妻子Helen Cutter的踪迹，而一切也越来越显示出情况的复杂性，而教授及其团队则坚定信心要将此事弄个水落石出......。This story starts in Italy very briefly, a young soccer player mother dies and the boy is forced to live in North America with Friends of the Mother.
