When Constantine learned of Katherine's whereabouts and imprisonment at the hands of Maxentius, he led his army from York in a desperate bid to save her.。梅果在某京剧团任编导，他的妻子吴晓年轻貌美且非常能干，现已辞去歌舞团的工作办起了自己的服装店，生意兴隆。正当京剧不景气时，剧团赴台湾进行文化交流的任务幸运地落在梅果的头上。但在出发的前两天，他的名额却被一个副局长顶替了。梅果只好留下来拍新戏，他拉上剧团新秀肖丽丽和一辈子打旗演匪兵的陈甲乙，决定下海潇洒一回。 找门路经商的胖姐对陈甲乙一直情有独钟，可被剧团解聘的黑子却不时地来到胖姐家蹭吃蹭喝。一天，剧团来了一个大款胖子陆天宇，开口就要买剧团，梅果虽不屑与此人打交道，但也亲身感到了京剧振兴的不易。吴晓深知梅果不是下海经商的料，并且担心他身边的肖丽丽。果然，梅果的第一笔生意就把货全窝在手里。 胖子年幼时就想当演员，他给梅果垫了10万块钱，想借此机会在新戏中“露一小脸”。在排演场上，他戏耍了当年搅他好梦的陈甲乙，陈甲乙也不客气地让胖子出尽了洋相。胖姐为黑子去俄罗斯卖掉了戒指，而黑子赚钱回来却赖帐不还。肖丽丽要出国走了，吴晓与梅果合好如初。剧团在台湾的演出大获成功，梅果仍继续着他进入商界的试探。。
