侠客刘金喜（甄子丹）隐姓埋名，与妻子阿玉（汤唯）和一双儿子生活在一处偏远的小村庄，却被卷入一桩离奇的命案。捕快徐百九（金城武）是一位“武痴”，在查案的过程中，嗅到了刘金喜身上必有过人之处。不料，恰恰因为他的好奇，迫使刘金喜面临和七十二地煞教主（王羽）的生死对决，他的家庭危在旦夕，他们的家园，遭受灭顶之灾……。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
